Industry and Users meet on ICT and Electronics Based Indigenous Solutions for Dairy Industry

Centre of Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Kolkata, arranged a Stakeholders meet on ICT and Electronics based indigenous solutions for dairy industry on September 26th, 2023, at The Sonnet Hotel, Kolkata. The stakeholders meet was jointly organized by C-DAC Kolkata, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur and ICAR-NDRI ERS, Kalyani Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is the premier R and D organization of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India for carrying out R and D in IT, Electronics and adjacent areas. C-DAC, Kolkata Centre has been actively and consistently pursuing research and development in the field of Agriculture and Environment Electronics for more than a decade and is now ideally poised to hold a National R andD Program (AgriEnIcs) on the above-mentioned domains under the guidance of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. One of the outcomes of AgriEnIcs program is a product for Cattle health monitoring and a Mastitis detector, which were showcased at the event to a favourable response from the industry personnel present at the meet Delegates from Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Ltd., SAI Rural Development, Metro Dairy, Amul, Core Technologies, Ayudyog Pvt. Ltd., Radhagobinda Sweets, Qmansys InfoSolutions, Arogyam Medisoft Solutions Pvt. Ltd. have attended the event. The meet was also graced by the presence of Smt. Sunita Verma, Group Coordinator, MeitY and Dr. Om Krishan Singh, Scientist D, MeitY, Govt. of India, Shri Aditya Kumar Sinha, Director, C-DAC Kolkata, Dr. S.M. Deb ex-centre head of ICAR, Kalyani and Dr. Karabi Biswas of IIT Kharagpur and senior officials. The industry representatives expressed interest in commercializing the devices demonstrated at the event.
