An inauguration ceremony for the state-of-the-art Product Design Center was held on 10th July 2023 at C-DAC, Kolkata. The product design center inaugurated by Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar, IAS Additional Secretary MeitY, Government of India. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Alok Nath Dey,Chairman NSC, AgriEnIcs Program, Smt. Sunita Verma, Group Coordinator, MeitY, Dr. Om Krishna Singh, Scientist D, MeitY ,Dr. A. R. Rao, Assistant Director General ADG, ICAR HQs, Shri Aditya Kumar Sinha, Director, C-DAC Kolkata along with officials of MeitY and C-DAC,Kolkata,The program was also attended by Start-ups or Industry partners J M envirolab Pvt Ltd, and Arogyam Medisoft Solution Private Limited were also present at the inauguration event. Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar, Additional Secretary, MeitY has appreciated the efforts of C-DAC, Kolkata. The Product Design Centre will bring creativity, foster innovation and enable the creation of prototypes for system-level designing. This will not only provide a sustainable platform to learn, grow and innovate but also, solutions for the budding and amateur Startups, entrepreneurs, MSME, R and D institutes etc. The effort to initiate system designing and prototyping indigenously from ideation to productization will build an ecosystem for self-sustainability and support the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives.
